  • They support “local” businesses
  • They enjoy dining out and working out
  • Instagram is the best platform for Millennials
  • Diamonds are not very appealing to Millennials currently, so that is something to look at, So some businesses are losing that “next generation”.
  • Instagram is great for brand awareness, Jenna says.
  • Janet’s business experience says Facebook is always a “given” if you’re in business and Instagram would be the second platform.
  • Some millennials like experiences, such as breweries and events tied to them. Some events are on Facebook, but some are being featured only on Instagram.

26:27 – Sharing Information, Ideas & Experiences example Events!

  • Most people find out about events through Facebook, but also they’re sometimes on Instagram.  Sometimes, Instagram is the only place an event is posted.
  • It has to be unique it has to be something that attracts a lot of people and then they tell their friends about it
  • The swipe up feature on Instagram is a great feature for events.
  • Organic vs paid, in-person networking helps to grow local by having conversations with people and having them follow you.

33:02 – Don’t get stuck on a platform

  • Periscope launched the live platform
  • Not getting stuck in a specific platform and actually like not being afraid to try a new one
  • You need to show the behind the scenes of your business, because that is how people are going to connect with you.
  • You need to show what you actually do and show your skills and otherwise, people don’t see it.

  • YouTube has SEO purposes
  • It is mostly if people are searching for a topic
  • You could be an expert on a topic and use YouTube to improve your following and ranking
