  • Terry has been coaching this insurance company since May of 2019.
  • He came in and did a training in July. They brought him in to start coaching the Ceo and one of the commercial Sales representatives in January. It kind of expanded and put him on the leadership team of the company.

  • You can target certain wealthy neighborhoods, but it’s mostly just kind of fall in but from the commercial side. When you’re going after business insurance, you’ve got to go after a very specific match, otherwise your marketing is spray and pray and your networking time and your focus are just all over the map.

17:04 – Terry talking about P O P (people, opportunity and product.)

  • Terry can help you figure out what actually matters and what’s relevant and how to get it out there.

19:01 – Three main pieces of software that really drive this business

  • They work with a bunch of carriers and can help save help you save money, but more importantly, get you the best coverage for your individual situation.
  • Understanding that system and how it tracks the leads and the opportunities and where everything is, is a big one.

  • You could have your home insured by this company and your car is insured by that company and your boat insured over here.
  • You could just make one payment, one check and we spit the money out for you.
  • We offer one-stop shopping for a full range of products, including home, renters, auto, business, life, health, and retirement plans.

  • For right now is just Michigan.
  • Terry’s job is to figure out where do we put that focus.

22:33 – Marketing Vs. Selling

  • You really got to get your sales down before you start doing all this marketing stuff and podcast is a marketing piece, definitely marketing.

25:39 – What’s the product?

  • The last p was “product” and so product means that you have to get licensed. You have to go and you agreed to go get licensed.
  • Taking the product piece and understanding that is going to be a whole another level.
