Time Stamped Show Notes:

06:31 – Lead Generation through Facebook Groups

Sunny Lenarduzzi  – she does a lot with video and Youtube

  • She targets all advertising and marketing to build a very, very engaged Facebook group

07:21 – Derek Halpern did a sales page challenge within a Facebook group.

  • He was teaching the details about it and said be very specific to that one offer
  • When you request people to fill out a form for info, be clear why they are filling out the form
  • He brought his email list and Facebook marketing leads into one place, into the Facebook group
  • He offered a free webinar.
  • Free content, giving value in the group…such as a challenge…holding people accountable and engaging
  • Then, he offered a more extensive training to those who are interested from those in that Facebook group.
  • The best way to convert people to a more expensive program is layering it.

14:08 – Amy Porterfield  and others offer a free webinar and a paid webinar. They just as much in their free as they give in their programs. But, the difference is it’s organized, it’s in a place where you have the support that you paid money for the additional support.   And, it is a known fact, if you pay money for something, you will pay more attention to it.

15:11 – Accountability Factor

One of the keys, especially for people that are doing these programs and people that are taking them is the accountability factor, making sure that there’s some level of follow-up. One of the things that these programs offer is no one can make you do anything, but they certainly can check in with you and push you enough.

15:54 -Group Lead Generation Funnel

  • If you’re going to have a higher priced offer in the end that might be the way to go
  • The downfall to this is it is more work, but the return could be bigger.  It’s more work, more money upfront potentially, if you’re doing Facebook ads to grow the group without the return quickly. But 30 days can be bring results.

*You are having to build this free audience, so you need a budget and it’s longer term, but the return could be bigger, but it will be more of an investment up front.

18:09 – What Webinar Funnel is?

The best conversion had been if you want a complete registration, which is the goal, so not just having the traffic go to your website, but literally tracking.  You have to put the tracking on the “Thank you page” tracking to see how many truly came through for a conversion.

Janet’s Lead Gen Funnel

1-Ad

2-Email list

3-Free webinar

4-Some will convert to a sale

Janet’s campaign is currently a webinar sign up

Facebook Ad to email list, then free webinar, private Facebook group, then, some convert to future sale.

Janet has used a third party endorsement for her video promoting her upcoming webinar, using a square format video.

Ads using graphic or video need to be tested.

And we know videos are great with Facebook, we’ve talked about this over and over again but the key is video tends to be great for impressions for reach for showing up, confirming for people, engaging. But to actually convert over to do something on a separate website, graphics are best, video has been known to be pretty low.

Video VS. Graphics

There’s two things that I will point out that are working well for my upcoming webinar #1 – is that square video has been known to convert better number #2 -Facebook video should have key points on it, such as testimonials, show people standing up, talking about how much they got out of the seminar that they have taken.

23:57 –  One of the nine hard fast rules of social media

Terry, “Rule #5 Build your network before you need it.  That translates in today’s world, build your audience before you plan to sell to it.”

  • Retargeting people that have already liked your other stuff-  how Darren is doing it, bringing this group in and creating a group.  A great example of : build it before you need it is such a valuable point.

Email list building is still huge, but they are more likely to join a group .

24:50 – Here’s a great new tool-Using your videos or graphics for PR purposes which Dennis Yu is very strong on promoting now

Now, they’ve added many drop downs that you are able to target for audiences or interests on Facebook and one that you can now do is employers at companies.

  • Be on and be there looking for content to potentially share on their page.  You could get in front of companies like Buzzfeed
  • PR now can start really moving to Facebook and Facebook ads

85 % of the population that you’re looking to reach is on Facebook and you can go to Instagram, too

Terry’s Tips:

  • Setting up that targeted Facebook ad is pretty simple!!

Janet’s Tips:

  • Try different things, try different audiences, try different visuals, try all those different things and when it hits, you’ll know.
  • It’s such a small ad budget, especially with video, you know you can play a long way, compared to a PR release.

28:09 – Dollar a day!

  • Dennis Yu actually created the dollar a day strategy

It’s a dollar a day to test this ad, see how it works and then if it’s picked up, if it’s working, you can up that budget a little bit and play with that.

29:09 – Janet’s Online course

Social Strategies101

Actions Steps:

  • Do something that is a funnel, don’t just have a website sitting up there with no true conversion piece.
  • If you think you can just put up a website and you can post on social media to get sales, it’s few and far between that’s going to happen.
  • So, think about what is your funnel going to look like and start with something.
  • Even if you want to start a group and maybe you don’t even know what the product is right now…but you will in 6 months..just start.
  • The best way, if you’re not sure exactly where you’re going to go, find groups that are like the ones you want to create and start engaging in those groups.

We have so many people doing that- engage by going in and commenting on the stuff that’s already there, add value to what’s there, because an insightful, thoughtful comment will reflect on you better!

Start it now! Get it going, do something where you can!!
